ABOUT THE ROLE To manage and supervise the overall operations of the notebook manufacturing factory, ensuring smooth production, optimum utilization of manpower and machinery, maintenance of product quality, timely order completion, cost control, and achievement of production targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production: Plan daily/weekly/monthly output against orders; coordinate cutting, printing, folding, stitching, binding, packing; fix shortfalls.

Manpower: Allocate operators, track attendance and productivity; train teams on SOPs, safety.

Machines: Maximize utilization, track downtime, plan maintenance.

Quality: Ensure specs for size, page count, ruling, printing and binding; run quality checks; cut rejections.

Materials: Monitor paper, ink, covers, thread, packaging stock with stores.

Cost Control: Track wastage,



rework and cost; investigate abnormal wastage.

Dispatch: Verify quantities, packing and labelling; prioritize urgent orders.

Safety: Ensure housekeeping, PPE, fire, electrical and machine safety.

MIS: Daily reports on orders, output, downtime, wastage, rejection, stock and next-day plan.

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma/degree in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering preferred; hands-on experience considered

Notebook, paper-converting, printing or binding background with supervisory role

Excel, production planning, inventory, quality and cost control
Leadership, communication, accountability
