SDSR focuses on building a skilled team of professionals to support its growing client base in financial and commodity markets.

Role Description The Derivatives Trader role at SDSR is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The trader will execute and manage trades in derivatives and related instruments, including futures and commodities, in line with the firm’s strategies and risk management guidelines. Daily responsibilities include monitoring market movements, analyzing price trends, identifying trading opportunities, and adjusting positions to optimize returns and manage exposure.

The role involves developing and refining trading strategies, implementing hedging techniques, and maintaining accurate records of trades and positions.



The trader will also collaborate with colleagues on market research, prepare performance reports, and adhere to all internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid skills in Trading and Futures Trading for actively managing positions in derivatives markets.
Candidates should possess skills in Trading Strategies for designing, testing, and refining systematic and discretionary approaches.
Candidates should possess skills in Hedging for managing risk exposure and protecting portfolios against adverse price movements.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Commodity Markets for analyzing market fundamentals and understanding price drivers.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets and basic data analysis tools.
Ability to work in a quick-paced trading environment, with sound judgment, discipline, and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in derivatives trading or internships in financial markets is an advantage.
