Position: Logistics Manager Wind Industry

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a proven track record in the wind energy sector. This role is critical in ensuring the secure, timely, and cost-effective transportation of wind turbine components, equipment, and materials from suppliers to project sites. The candidate must bring hands-on wind industry logistics expertise to manage the complexities of oversized cargo, multimodal transport, and global supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
Wind Project Logistics: Manage end-to-end logistics for wind turbine components (blades, towers, nacelles, hubs, and electrical systems).
Transportation Planning: Oversee multimodal transport (road, rail, sea) for oversized and heavy cargo specific to wind projects.
Site Coordination: Ensure timely delivery of materials to wind farm sites, working closely with project managers and construction teams.




Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and logistics service providers specializing in renewable energy.
Compliance & Safety: Guarantee adherence to international trade regulations, customs clearance, and industry-specific safety standards.
Cost Optimization: Develop strategies to reduce logistics costs while maintaining efficiency and reliability.
Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks unique to wind projects and implement contingency plans.
Technology & Reporting: Utilize ERP/logistics software to track shipments and generate performance reports.

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration (Master s preferred).
Minimum 7 years of logistics management experience, with at least 3 5 years in the wind industry (mandatory).
Solid knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and oversized cargo handling for wind turbine components.
Proficiency in logistics software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
