Position Summary:

To preparing accurate and competitive project estimates for EPC Projects, during the tendering and pre-contract stage. The incumbent will undertake detailed quantity take-offs, BOQ validation, first-principle costing, rate analysis and assessment of material, labour, plant & machinery and subcontracting costs. This role will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Tendering teams to develop commercially competitive bids.

Role & responsibilities:
Estimation & Costing
Review tender documents, drawings and BOQs; prepare quantity take-offs and validate quantities.
Develop first-principal cost estimates and rate analysis covering material, labour, plant, subcontracting and indirect costs.
Benchmark costs using market rates, productivity norms and historical project data.
Vendor & Subcontractor Costing
Obtain and evaluate quotations for key materials, equipment and subcontracting packages.
Prepare vendor/subcontractor cost comparisons and adjudications based on prevailing market rates.
Tender Evaluation & Risk Assessment
Assess site conditions and identify cost risks, assumptions, exclusions and prospects.
Drive value engineering and cost optimization in coordination with cross-functional teams.




Estimate Finalization & Tender Support
Consolidate estimates and prepare cost summaries for management review and approval.
Support bid submissions, clarifications and handover of estimates to execution teams.
Maintain historical cost data, productivity norms and estimation benchmarks.

Preferred candidate profile

7 to 12 years of relevant experience in Estimation / Costing / Tender Estimation within Mobility, Strategic Infrastructure.

Skills:
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project and relevant Estimation tools.
Quantity Take-off & BOQ Preparation / Validation
Solid analytical and numerical ability
High attention to detail and accuracy
