Senior Backend Engineer (Python) — Bengaluru, India (hybrid, three days a week in office) We are a B2B software company building data products used by finance and operations teams at large enterprises. We are growing our core platform team and are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys owning services end to end.

What you will do
Design, build and run backend services in Python that handle millions of requests a day.
Own data models and query performance on PostgreSQL.
Build REST APIs used by our web app and by customer integrations.
Use Redis for caching and background job queues.
Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes with Docker, and keep our CI/CD pipelines healthy.
Review code, mentor two to three engineers, and help make technical decisions for the team.

What we are looking for
5 to 8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
Strong Python and PostgreSQL skills are required.




Hands-on experience running production services on Kubernetes.
Good understanding of distributed systems, caching and failure handling.
Experience with Django or FastAPI.
Transparent written communication in English.

Nice to have
Kafka or another event streaming platform.
Experience with AWS.
Some exposure to data pipelines or analytics systems. You must be based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate.
