Job Description:

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University (CSMU) invites applications from skilled and creative professionals for the position of Assistant Professor – 3D Modeling & Animation. The ideal candidate should have strong 3D production skills, practical knowledge of industry-standard software, and the ability to train students in professional 3D modeling and animation workflows.

Educational Qualification

- Master’s degree in 3D Animation, Animation, or a related field.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in Autodesk Maya, Blender, or equivalent 3D software.
- Knowledge of the complete 3D production pipeline, including:
- 3D Modeling and UV Mapping
- Texturing and Shading
- Rigging and Animation
- Lighting and Rendering
- Understanding of industry-standard 3D workflows and production techniques.

Design Skills

- Organic and hard-surface modeling.
- Character design and character modeling.
- Prop and environment modeling.
- Digital sculpting.
- Product modeling.

Key Responsibilities





- Teach theory and practical subjects related to 3D Modeling and Animation.
- Guide students through the complete 3D production pipeline.
- Train students in organic and hard-surface modeling techniques.
- Mentor students in character, prop, workplace, and product modeling projects.
- Conduct assessments, project reviews, and portfolio development sessions.
- Prepare academic documentation and contribute to curriculum development.
- Stay updated with current 3D industry trends, software, tools, and workflows.
- Support students in developing practical skills and industry-ready portfolios.
