WhatsApp Marketing Specialist (Business API)

We are looking for a results-driven WhatsApp Marketing Specialist who can plan, execute, and optimize WhatsApp marketing campaigns using the official WhatsApp Business Platform.

You will be responsible for growing permission-based contact lists, creating effective message templates, building automated customer journeys, and converting conversations into qualified leads and sales. The ideal candidate understands WhatsApp campaign delivery, template approval, audience segmentation, automation, and quality-rating management.

This role prioritizes compliant marketing, meaningful customer engagement, and measurable business results—not unsolicited bulk messaging.

Key Responsibilities

1. WhatsApp Campaign Management

- Plan and execute large-scale WhatsApp campaigns for opted-in contacts through the official WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Schedule and manage campaigns based on audience segments, customer interests, business objectives, and campaign timing.
- Create concise, engaging marketing messages with relevant offers, calls to action, buttons, and approved media.
- Submit message templates for approval and revise them when necessary to meet platform requirements.
- Personalize campaigns to improve customer engagement, enquiries, and conversions.

2. Opt-In List Growth & Audience Segmentation

- Grow permission-based WhatsApp contact lists through website forms, landing pages, QR codes, Click-to-WhatsApp ads, and other approved acquisition methods.
- Maintain accurate records of consent and ensure contacts are eligible to receive the intended messages.
- Segment audiences by interest, location, previous interactions, buying stage, and other relevant criteria.
- Keep contact databases organized, updated, and integrated with the CRM where applicable.
- Maintain opt-out and suppression lists to ensure customers who withdraw consent are excluded from future marketing campaigns.

3. Chatbot & Marketing Automation

- Build and manage chatbot flows, automated replies, and WhatsApp Flows for enquiries, lead capture, customer support, and follow-ups.




- Design conversation journeys that help prospects find relevant information and take the next step.
- Configure automated responses for common questions, lead qualification, appointment requests, and sales enquiries.
- Set up follow-up sequences based on customer responses and interaction history, within applicable messaging rules.
- Test automation flows regularly to ensure messages, buttons, integrations, and handovers work correctly.
- Route complex enquiries and sales-ready prospects to the appropriate team members.

4. Quality Rating & Account Health

- Monitor WhatsApp phone-number quality ratings, blocks, reports, delivery performance, and customer feedback.
- Manage message frequency, audience relevance, and campaign timing to reduce negative customer reactions.
- Follow official WhatsApp Business Platform policies, messaging rules, and template requirements.
- Investigate delivery or quality issues and take corrective action rather than attempting to bypass restrictions.
- Maintain healthy, sustainable campaign practices that protect the business’s messaging reputation.

5. Performance Tracking & Optimization

- Track message delivery, read rates where available, replies, leads generated, and campaign conversions.
- Test different message formats, offers, calls to action, audience segments, and sending times.
- Analyze results to identify which campaigns generate the most meaningful engagement and business opportunities.
- Prepare campaign reports and recommend improvements based on performance data.
- Pass qualified leads to the sales team and maintain accurate CRM records, including enquiry status and follow-up activity.

Experience

- Experience in WhatsApp marketing, campaign management, marketing automation, CRM, or digital lead generation is preferred.




- Hands-on experience with the official WhatsApp Business Platform or a recognized business messaging provider will be an advantage.
- Candidates who understand template approvals, opt-in management, chatbot flows, and campaign analytics are encouraged to apply.

Must Have

- Practical understanding of WhatsApp Business marketing and campaign execution.
- Ability to create effective message templates and manage the approval process.
- Knowledge of opt-in list growth, audience segmentation, automation, and lead capture.
- Ability to monitor campaign performance and improve results using data.
- Strong attention to detail in managing contact records, consent, and opt-outs.
- A responsible approach to messaging policies and account quality.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
