Limra Events

India

For Limra Events, I’d keep the Business Development Manager requirement strongly focused on corporate events, exhibitions, BTL activations, retail branding, and client acquisition. Current event-industry BDM roles commonly emphasize full-cycle sales, corporate relationships, proposals/costing, negotiation, pipeline management, profitability, and coordination with creative/production teams. Indeed

Business Development Manager – Limra Events

Experience: Preferably 3–6 years in Event Management / Exhibitions / BTL / Experiential Marketing / Branding

- Generate recent corporate clients and business opportunities for Limra Events.

- Arrange client meetings, understand briefs and convert requirements into business opportunities.
- Prepare and present company profiles, pitch decks, proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.

- Maintain a proper sales pipeline/CRM, including lead status, next follow-up, expected revenue and closure probability.

- Should be comfortable with client meetings, site visits and travel when required.
- Excellent English communication, presentation, negotiation and client-handling skills.
- Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, email communication and CRM tools.

Candidate We Should Prefer

For Limra Events specifically, I would prioritize someone who already has contacts in corporate marketing/procurement and the events/exhibition industry, rather than hiring a generic salesperson. Existing corporate relationships are also treated as a major advantage in comparable event-industry BD roles. LinkedIn

The person should understand how to take a lead through the complete cycle:

Lead → Meeting → Brief → Concept → Costing → Proposal → Negotiation → PO/Confirmation → Execution Coordination → Payment Follow-up → Repeat Business

Suggested KPIs

I would set measurable KPIs around qualified leads generated, client meetings, proposals submitted, conversion ratio, new clients acquired, monthly revenue, gross margin, repeat business, and pipeline value. These align closely with KPIs being used in comparable event-sector BDM roles. Indeed

For Limra Events, the most important KPI should not simply be the number of calls made—it should be profitable business actually converted.
