IIndoworld Mediserve Pvt Ltd is hiring a qualified Barge Doctor (MBBS with AFIH) to provide primary healthcare, emergency medical support, and occupational health services to personnel onboard an offshore barge.
This opportunity is suitable for doctors seeking offshore medical experience in a remote working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary healthcare and emergency medical care to onboard personnel.
- Manage trauma, accidents, occupational illnesses, and medical emergencies until evacuation or referral.
- Conduct routine medical consultations and health checks.
- Maintain medical records, reports, medicines, and emergency medical equipment.
- Participate in emergency drills and HSE activities.
- Promote health awareness, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste management and compliance with project medical procedures.
Mandatory Qualifications
- MBBS degree with valid medical registration.
- AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) certification – Mandatory.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in general practice, emergency medicine, or trauma care.
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and ITLS/ATLS certifications as required by the project.
- Valid offshore medical fitness certification as applicable to project requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a remote offshore environment.
Preferred Qualification: Previous medical experience on an offshore barge, rig, vessel, or similar environment.
