Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Solar Site & Maintenance Engineer to oversee on-site solar installations, plant commissioning, and routine Operation & Maintenance (O&M;). The ideal candidate must have in-depth practical knowledge of DISCOM procedures—specifically the DEO approval/entry process—and demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and resolve electrical, inverter, and system-level faults quickly on site.

Key Responsibilities:

- DISCOM & DEO Procedures:
- End-to-end management of DISCOM documentation, portal submissions, and DEO (Demand Estimate Order / inspection approval) processes.
- Coordinate site inspections, meter testing, and bi-directional/net-meter commissioning with local utility authorities (DGVCL/GETCO).
- Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
- Rapidly diagnose and resolve inverter faults, grid tripping, reverse power issues, and phase synchronization errors.
- Identify and fix DC/AC ground faults, insulation breakdown, open circuits, and string underperformance using standard testing instruments (Megger, clamp meter, multimeter).
- Plant Maintenance & Performance (O&M;):




- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and handle emergency breakdown calls to ensure maximum plant uptime and generation.
- Monitor daily energy output via remote monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarEdge, Growatt, Sungrow, Deye) and report generation anomalies.
- Site Supervision & Quality Control:
- Supervise solar PV module layout, structure mounting, ACDB/DCDB wiring, earthing pits, and lightning protection systems.
- Verify plant compliance with safety standards and electrical codes prior to charging and handover.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on field experience in solar rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
- Core Skills:
- Proven expertise in DISCOM liaisoning and DEO processing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for solar inverters, LT panels, and protection gear.
- Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and layout drawings.
- Mobility: Valid driving license and personal two-wheeler for regular site visits across Mahuva, Mandvi and Surat region.
