Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to teach CBSE Grade 3 to 5 students. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum and the ability to make Social Studies engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate for young learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Social Studies lessons according to the CBSE curriculum for Grades 3 to 5.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, activities, and assessments.
- Teach concepts related to History, Geography, Civics, Environmental Studies, culture, society, and general awareness in an age-appropriate manner.
- Use interactive and child-friendly teaching methods such as storytelling, discussions, activities, role plays, projects, maps, visuals, and presentations.
- Encourage students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, observation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Relate classroom concepts to real-life situations, current events, Indian culture, and social values.
- Conduct regular class tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, and other assessments.
- Evaluate students' academic performance and maintain accurate records of assessments and progress.
- Provide individual attention and appropriate academic support to students who require additional assistance.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.




- Encourage active participation and meaningful discussions among students.
- Use appropriate digital tools and educational technology to enhance classroom learning.
- Prepare and maintain teaching resources, worksheets, question papers, and other academic documentation.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress when required.
- Coordinate with the academic team and other teachers for curriculum planning and school activities.
- Participate actively in school events, academic activities, projects, competitions, and celebrations.
- Follow school policies, academic guidelines, examination procedures, and classroom management standards.
- Maintain professional conduct and contribute positively to the overall development of students.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred as per school requirements.
- Candidates with relevant CBSE teaching qualifications and experience will be preferred.

Experience

- Prior teaching experience in CBSE schools will be preferred.
- Experience teaching Grades 3 to 5 will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge, communication skills, and teaching aptitude may also be considered.

Candidate Preference

- Candidates from Surat will be preferred.
- Candidates willing to relocate to Surat may also be considered.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have good knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and can effectively communicate with young learners.
