Dubai Fresh Mart is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-oriented Supermarket Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of our supermarket in Nooranadu, Alappuzha.

We are looking for a dynamic professional with strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of supermarket operations, and a customer-focused approach. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing store operations, leading employees, controlling expenses, increasing sales, and ensuring profitability.

Candidates with previous experience managing supermarkets, hypermarkets, or large retail grocery stores will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations Management

- Oversee all daily supermarket operations to ensure smooth and effective functioning.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, properly stocked, and customer-friendly.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures, billing counters, and operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and independently.

2. Sales Growth & Profitability

- Develop and implement strategies to increase store sales and revenue.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against established targets.
- Control operating expenses, minimize losses, and improve profitability.
- Identify opportunities for promotions, seasonal offers, and increased customer footfall.
- Analyze product performance, customer demand, and local market competition.

3. Inventory & Purchase Management

- Supervise inventory control, stock replenishment, and purchasing activities.
- Ensure availability of fast-moving and essential products.
- Monitor stock movement, expiry dates, damaged goods, and wastage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain timely deliveries and competitive pricing.
- Supervise stock audits and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure effective use of POS and inventory management systems.

4. Staff Management & Leadership

- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate supermarket employees.




- Prepare employee duty schedules and ensure adequate staffing across departments.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, productivity, and performance.
- Assign responsibilities and establish clear performance expectations.
- Maintain workplace discipline, teamwork, and a positive working environment.
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts professionally.

5. Customer Service & Store Standards

- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the supermarket.
- Handle customer complaints, feedback, and escalations professionally.
- Maintain high standards of product quality, hygiene, and presentation.
- Ensure proper product labeling, shelf pricing, and promotional displays.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

6. Financial Controls & Reporting

- Monitor daily sales collections, cash handling, billing, and payment reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate records of purchases, expenses, returns, and inventory adjustments.
- Prevent stock shrinkage, billing errors, and financial losses.
- Prepare regular operational, sales, expense, and performance reports for management.
- Coordinate with the accounting team on invoices, GST documentation, and financial records.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant retail or supermarket experience, preferably including store management or supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven ability to independently manage supermarket operations.
- Fluency in Malayalam is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of English is preferred.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of supermarket inventory, purchasing, sales, and financial operations.
- Experience working with retail POS and inventory management software.
- Experience with GoFrugal POS/ERP is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic reporting.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.




- Bachelor's degree or diploma preferred; substantial relevant retail experience will also be considered.

- Take complete ownership of day-to-day supermarket operations.

- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing wastage and stock losses.

- Maintain accurate reporting, financial accountability, and operational transparency.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement continuous improvements.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, accountability, and strong professional ethics.
- Provide regular performance updates to business management.

Preferred Candidates

Preference will be given to:

- Candidates residing in Alappuzha District, particularly Nooranadu, Charummoodu, Mavelikkara, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, and nearby areas.
- Applicants with previous supermarket or hypermarket management experience.
- Candidates familiar with the Kerala grocery and FMCG retail market.
- Candidates experienced in GoFrugal or similar retail ERP/POS systems.
- Individuals with an established track record of improving sales, managing teams, and controlling retail expenses.
- Candidates available to join immediately or at short notice.
