Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and experienced Resort Accountant to oversee our day-to-day financial accounting, statutory compliance, and operational reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for managing revenue accounting across various resort outlets (front desk, food & beverage, spa, and amenities), vendor payments, bank reconciliations, GST compliance, and maintaining accurate general ledgers.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Income & Revenue Auditing: Verify, reconcile, and post daily revenue reports from Front Office PMS and Point of Sale (POS) outlets (F&B;, spa, activities).
- General Ledger & Financial Accounting: Maintain and update accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals in accounting software (e.g., TallyPrime).
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor bills, manage petty cash, ensure timely payments, follow up on corporate/travel agency receivables, and manage credit limits.
- Bank & Cash Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, payment gateways,



card machines, and cash desks.
- Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Prepare and ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B, TDS deduction, and other local statutory obligations.
- Fixed Assets & Inventory Accounting: Maintain fixed asset registers, perform periodic physical inventory counts for store items, F&B; stock, and operational supplies, and compute cost of sales.
- Financial Reporting & MIS: Assist in preparing monthly trial balances, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and budget variance analyses for management.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance).
- Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on accounting experience (Experience in the Hospitality, Hotel, or Resort sector is strongly preferred).
- Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in accounting software (e.g., TallyPrime) and Hotel PMS / POS software (e.g., Hotelogix, IDS Next, Opera, or similar). Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
- Taxation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of GST laws, Indian tax compliances, TDS, and reconciliation procedures.
- Core Competencies: High level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
