Job Title: Indian Chef (Curry & Gravy Lead) – Awadhi Central, Sector 8, Chandigarh

Awadhi Central is a North Indian and Mughlai restaurant brand serving Chandigarh and Mohali since 2018. We are known for slow-cooked Awadhi curries, kebabs and biryanis. Our outlets are supported by a central base kitchen that handles our house masalas and core preparations. Our Sector 8 outlet is a compact, high-volume kitchen focused on delivery.

Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Indian Chef to lead the gravy and curry section at our Sector 8 outlet. You will make sure every dish leaves the kitchen tasting right, looking right and on time, especially during busy delivery peaks.

Key Responsibilities

- Run the curry and gravy section: mother gravies, dals, korma, nihari, qorma and other Mughlai and Awadhi preparations
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and plating and packing standards exactly
- Prep and set up your station (mise en place) before service, and keep it stocked during the shift




- Manage delivery order flow during peak hours with speed and consistency
- Maintain FIFO, proper labelling and correct storage, and keep wastage low
- Flag stock requirements to the kitchen coordinator ahead of time
- Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic, in line with FSSAI standards
- Train and guide junior cooks and helpers on the section
- Work with our corporate chef on new dishes, trials and training

Requirements

- 3–5+ years of experience as an Indian or Mughlai curry chef in a restaurant, cloud kitchen or QSR
- Strong knowledge of North Indian and Mughlai gravies, spice handling and slow-cooking techniques
- Experience in high-volume or delivery kitchens preferred
- Disciplined, punctual and calm under pressure
- Good team player with a respectful attitude toward colleagues
- Basic Hindi or Punjabi communication

Pay: ₹9,200.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
