THE OPPORTUNITY

The Front-End Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's user-facing web applications, translating approved UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, interactive, and functional interfaces. The role requires a strong understanding of the company's business operations, products, services, and industry-specific requirements to ensure that all implemented content and functionality accurately reflect business objectives and user needs. They:

Must have a robust and reliable internet connection, computer, video camera and microphone.

Must be able to work remotely.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to accurately interpret technical and industry-specific business requirements.

Collaborate with a graphic designer to develop new user-facing features and translate the structure and design of the website into proper interactive user interfaces.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers, graphic designers, and backend engineers to implement approved designs and integrate front-end components with server-side functionality.

Building reusable code for the upkeep/maintenance of the company’s website

Collaborate with the UI/UX designer to optimize page loading times, and use a variety of markup languages to create the web pages.





Work with the designer to develop and implement the visual components of the company’s website

Web Development: Create and implement user-facing features using web technologies like HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.

Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code, ensuring designs are responsive and interactive.

Ensure the website works across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.

Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, considering performance aspects like loading times and code efficiency.

Work closely with UI/UX designers & back-end developers to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.

Identify appropriate implementation approaches, communicate effectively with designers and other team members, and validate the accuracy and functionality of deliverables before submission.

Maintain and improve existing website components, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to ongoing enhancements based on approved business requirements and user-experience recommendations.

SKILLS

Technical stack - HTML, CSS, and TypeScript; must be knowledgeable and skilled in all three.

Experience with UI/UX principles and design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
