Job Summary
The Procurement Skilled for Scheduled Wings manages the end-to-end strategic sourcing, material scheduling, and vendor management required to keep a commercial scheduled fleet operational. This role focuses on balancing high fleet availability (minimizing Aircraft-on-Ground / AOG scenarios) with optimal inventory holding costs, ensuring all parts and maintenance services fully comply with civil aviation regulatory frameworks (e.g., DGCA, FAA, EASA).
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sourcing & Vendor Operations
· Onboard & Evaluate Partners: Identify and manage long-term relationships with global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), approved Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) vendors, and certified Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities.
· Contract Management: Draft and negotiate high-value Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) component support contracts, engine lease agreements, and rotables exchange programs.
· Vendor Auditing: Periodically audit supplier performance against strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), focusing on turnaround times (TAT) and quality.
2. Material Scheduling & Inventory Optimization
· Maintenance Alignment: Coordinate directly with the engineering planning team to schedule part availability precisely ahead of scheduled checks (A, B, C, and D checks) to ensure zero operational delays.
· Order Management: Raise, track, and reconcile Technical Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) using aviation ERP software (such as AMOS or SAP Ariba).
· Float Management: Monitor minimum/maximum stock limits for aircraft rotables, expendables,
and consumables to minimize overstock expenses while ensuring zero stockouts.
3. High-Priority AOG (Aircraft-on-Ground) Support
· Emergency Sourcing: Drive 24/7 critical sourcing operations during AOG emergencies, negotiating urgent part loans, borrows, or fast-track purchases.
· Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with international freight forwarders and customs brokers to expedite emergency air cargo shipping and clear aerospace shipments through customs seamlessly.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Traceability Verification: Enforce 100% compliance by ensuring every airframe, engine, or component arrives with proper authorized release certificates (e.g., DGCA Form 1, FAA 8130-3, or EASA Form 1).
· Audit Readiness: Maintain impeccable, audit-ready data archives detailing part provenance and back-to-birth traceability for civil aviation regulatory reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related commercial discipline.
Experience:
o For Specialist: 3–5 years of core procurement experience within a scheduled commercial airline or MRO.
o For Manager: 7+ years of experience, with a proven track record managing technical aviation categories (Rotables, APUs, Landing Gear).
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of aviation regulatory rules, parts interchangeability (IPC cross-referencing), and aircraft maintenance scheduling.
Benefits:
- Provident Fund
Work Location: In person
