Job Title: Operation Theatre Technician

Al-Azhar Medical College & Super Speciality Hospital, Thodupuzha, is seeking an experienced and skilled Operation Theatre Technician to assist in surgical procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure the protected and efficient functioning of the Operation Theatre.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and nursing staff during surgeries.
- Ensure the proper sterilisation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and strict infection control practices.
- Monitor the availability and functionality of OT equipment and surgical supplies.
- Assist with patient positioning and transfer before and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain OT cleanliness, safety, and readiness for scheduled and emergency surgeries.
- Follow hospital protocols, safety standards,



and infection prevention guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, sterilisation, and OT activities.

Qualifications

- Diploma or B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilisation techniques, and infection control practices.
- Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
