Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Vice President – Retail Banking to lead retail banking operations and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding customer portfolios, strengthening relationships with high-value customers, and leading high-performing branch and relationship-management teams.

The candidate should have strong expertise in retail banking, sales leadership, portfolio management, profitability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage retail banking business across assigned regions and customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and portfolio expansion.
- Drive revenue generation, profitability, and achievement of business targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage branch banking and relationship-management teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value customers and key stakeholders.
- Drive cross-selling of banking, lending, investment, insurance, and other financial products.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposure, compliance,



and operational efficiency.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop effective market expansion strategies.
- Manage business performance, P&L;, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Prepare and present business reviews, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, internal banking policies, and applicable risk-management standards.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline is required.
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Banking, or Management will be preferred.
- 10–18 years of relevant experience in retail banking or financial services.
- Proven experience in sales leadership, branch banking, and business development.
- Demonstrated track record of revenue generation, portfolio growth, and target achievement.
- Strong expertise in retail banking products, customer acquisition, and relationship management.
- Experience in leading large teams and managing business performance.
- Sound understanding of P&L; management, banking risk, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Candidates from leading private-sector banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions will be preferred.
