- A Production Engineer Trainee is an entry-level technical role focused on learning plant operations, supporting senior engineers, and assisting with manufacturing efficiency.
- Key Responsibilities
- Process Support: Assist in studying, monitoring, and improving daily manufacturing and assembly lines.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine product/process inspections and report defects or non-conformances.
- Data & Documentation: Maintain production logs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), time-study sheets, and shift reports.
- Troubleshooting: Help diagnose minor machinery or line-balancing bottlenecks alongside maintenance teams.
- Lean & 5S Implementation: Participate in shop-floor organization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement (Kaizen/5S) initiatives.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to plant safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and report hazards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Communicate with quality control, stores, and line supervisors to meet daily output targets.
