Job Description – Production Supervisor (Foundry)

Work Location: Arasur, Coimbatore

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Production Supervisor to supervise daily foundry production activities and ensure smooth shop floor operations. The candidate should have good knowledge of GDC (Gravity Die Casting) and LPDC (Low Pressure Die Casting) processes, manpower handling, production monitoring, and casting quality control. The role involves supervising the complete production cycle from melting to dispatch while achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily foundry production activities and ensure achievement of production targets as per the schedule.
- Allocate manpower to various production operations and monitor employee performance and productivity.
- Monitor GDC and LPDC casting processes to ensure smooth operations and adherence to process parameters.
- Supervise production activities from melting and casting to finishing, inspection, and dispatch.




- Monitor casting quality, identify defects, and coordinate with the Quality team to implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to resolve machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials, tools, and other production requirements in coordination with the Stores team.
- Monitor production output, rejection rates, cycle times, and material wastage to improve productivity.
- Ensure proper machine operation, workplace housekeeping, and adherence to safety procedures.
- Maintain daily production reports, manpower attendance, rejection records, and shift-wise production details.
- Report production issues, breakdowns, and quality concerns to the Production Manager.
- Ensure discipline on the shop floor and follow company procedures and applicable safety standards.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in foundry or manufacturing production operations.
- Practical knowledge of GDC and LPDC processes is preferred.
