Position: Milling Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Milling Machine Operator with practical experience in machining components used for Special Purpose Machines (SPM), jigs, fixtures, and tooling. The candidate should be capable of operating milling machines and producing components as per engineering drawings with the required accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate conventional milling machines for machining SPM components.
- Perform milling operations on machine parts, jigs, fixtures, plates, and tooling components.
- Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
- Carry out face milling, slot milling, drilling, boring, and other machining operations.
- Set up workpieces, cutting tools, and machine parameters.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to meet project deadlines.




- Follow machining safety procedures and quality standards.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience operating milling machines.
- Experience machining components for SPM, jigs, and fixtures is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, and machining processes.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Valuable knowledge of machining tolerances and quality inspection.

Eligibility Criteria

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Relevant milling machine operating experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with experience in SPM manufacturing and fixture machining will be preferred.
- Freshers are not eligible.
