We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector (Final QC) to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our castings throughout the production process, in fettling department to finished products. You will work closely with production personnel to identify and address quality issues, ensuring adherence to company specifications and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of castings at from Fettling area to Dispatch area as per quality standards and drawings.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) as required, using techniques such as ultrasonic testing, and liquid penetrant testing.
- Review and analyze inspection data, identifying trends and potential quality issues.
- Document non-conformances and initiate corrective actions in accordance with established procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and quality control activities.
- Participate in internal audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality management system.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for quality control in casting processes.
Authorities
- Stop production when a serious quality issue is identified.
- Reject raw materials or castings that do not meet specifications.
- Report non-conformances to the Quality Control Manager and relevant personnel.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a foundry environment.
- Understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous casting processes (No-Bake and Green Sand).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality control principles.
- Experience with NDT techniques is a plus.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 certified workplace.
- Able to use quality control equipment (gauges, measuring instruments, etc.).
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and specifications.
