Role overview

We are looking for a Management Accountant to turn our sales, stock and cost data into transparent insight that helps leadership run the business. You will own monthly management reporting, budgets and forecasts, and work closely with store operations, buying and marketing.

Key responsibilities

Management reporting

- Produce the monthly management accounts pack with P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow and KPIs.
- Write explicit commentary on performance against budget, forecast and last year.
- Build and maintain weekly trading reports covering sales, margin, footfall and conversion.

Budgets and forecasts

- Lead the annual budget process with store operations, buying and marketing.
- Prepare quarterly reforecasts and rolling cash-flow forecasts.
- Track overheads and payroll costs against budget and flag overspends early.

Profitability and margin

- Report profitability by store, channel, category and product.
- Analyse gross margin, markdowns, promotions and supplier terms.
- Monitor stock levels, stock turn and shrinkage, and highlight slow-moving lines.

Business partnering and decision support

- Build business cases for current stores,



refits, closures and capital spend.
- Model pricing, promotion and range decisions with buying and marketing.
- Present financial insight to managers in a clear, practical way.

Systems and process

- Improve reporting tools and automate recurring reports in Excel or Power BI.
- Keep cost centre structures and allocation methods accurate and up to date.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

- CIMA or ACCA qualified, or finalist with strong experience.
- [3–5] years' experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, building financial models).
- Experience presenting financial information to non-finance managers.

Desirable

- Experience in retail, e-commerce or another multi-site business.
- Experience with Power BI or another BI tool.
- Experience with Xero, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics and EPOS data.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
