Job Description – Ayushman Bharat Billing Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Ayushman Bharat Billing Executive to manage patient billing, scheme-related documentation, pre-authorisation, claim processing, and coordination with the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) patient registration and billing.
- Verify patient eligibility and Ayushman Bharat card details.
- Check patient documents and ensure completeness of medical records.
- Process pre-authorisation requests and treatment approvals as per scheme guidelines.
- Prepare and submit claims through the designated portal.
- Coordinate with doctors, the MRD department, TPA, and the Ayushman Bharat helpdesk.
- Monitor claim status, rejections, queries, and pending payments.
- Ensure accurate billing and compliance with scheme packages and hospital policies.




- Maintain proper records of patient documents, approvals, bills, and claim submissions.
- Follow up on claim queries and discrepancies to ensure timely settlement.

Eligibility and Qualifications

- Graduate in any stream; candidates with healthcare billing or TPA-related qualifications will be preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Ayushman Bharat billing or hospital government scheme billing preferred.
- Knowledge of PM-JAY guidelines, package rates, pre-authorisation, and claim submission.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital billing software and online portals.
