Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Education Counsellor to guide students and parents regarding courses, educational programs, admissions, and career opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students, explaining course details, following up with enquiries, and supporting the admission process.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents about available courses, programs, eligibility criteria, and career opportunities.
- Understand students’ educational backgrounds, interests, and career goals to recommend suitable courses.
- Handle enquiries received through phone calls, walk-ins, email, and online platforms.
- Explain course fees, duration, curriculum, admission procedures, and payment options.
- Follow up with prospective students to convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of student enquiries, counselling sessions, and admissions.
- Assist students with application forms, documentation, and admission formalities.
- Coordinate with the admissions team, faculty, and management.
- Achieve monthly admission and counselling targets.
- Provide timely information about course updates, schedules, and new programs.
- Maintain professional relationships with students and parents.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.

Required Qualifications and Skills





- Graduate in any discipline; a degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in education counselling, student admissions, telecalling, or sales.
- Freshers with good communication and interpersonal skills may apply.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong convincing, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office, email, and data entry.
- Ability to handle student enquiries and manage multiple follow-ups.
- Target-oriented, organised, and customer-focused approach.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in schools, colleges, coaching institutes, educational consultancies, or training centres.
- Knowledge of admission procedures and educational courses.
- Positive attitude with patience and a willingness to guide students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates comfortable with admission targets and student interaction are preferred.
