Job Description – All-Rounder Chef

The Daily Korner Cafe | All-Day Beer & Cocktail Bistro
Location: Pimple Nilakh / Baner, Pune

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic All-Rounder Chef to manage day-to-day kitchen operations at our all-day cafe and beer & cocktail bistro. The candidate should be capable of preparing a variety of dishes across multiple cuisines, maintaining food quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner service.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve breakfast, starters, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, pasta, salads, and main-course dishes.
- Handle multi-cuisine food preparation, including Indian, Chinese, Continental, and cafe-style dishes.
- Manage kitchen operations independently during assigned shifts.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portion size, and food quality.
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely preparation and serving of orders.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.
- Manage stock, monitor ingredient usage, and minimise food wastage.
- Assist with menu planning, preparation, and development of current dishes.
- Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and food-cost guidelines.




- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Support the preparation of Jain and vegetarian dishes, with eggetarian or non-vegetarian preparation as required by the menu.

Eligibility & Skills

- Previous experience as an All-Rounder Chef in a cafe, bistro, restaurant, or bar kitchen.
- Knowledge of multiple cuisines and cafe-style menu preparation.
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen responsibilities.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, inventory control, and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy hours.
- Team-oriented, punctual, responsible, and passionate about cooking.
