Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Gynaecology Staff Nurse with a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to gynaecology patients, assisting doctors during examinations and procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics department.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and document clinical observations.
- Assist gynaecologists during examinations, minor procedures, and other clinical interventions.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing gynaecological surgeries.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by the treating doctor.
- Monitor patients for complications and promptly report any changes in clinical condition.
- Provide patient education on menstrual health, reproductive health, post-operative care, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, and clinical documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, biomedical waste management, and patient safety protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff,



and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
- Support patient counselling and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Ensure proper handling of medical equipment and maintain cleanliness and readiness of the clinical area.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant clinical experience in Gynaecology / Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
- Valid nursing registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
- Good clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and nursing documentation skills.
- Knowledge of gynaecological procedures, perioperative care, and infection control practices.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle clinical responsibilities efficiently.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Prior experience in a multispecialty hospital or dedicated women’s healthcare facility.
- Experience in gynaecology wards, labour wards, or gynaecological operation theatres, depending on the assigned unit.
- Compassionate, responsible, and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
