Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist – Data & AI to lead the design and delivery of advanced AI/ML, Generative AI, and AWS-based solutions for public service clients.

The role combines deep technical expertise, AI solution architecture, client advisory, and team leadership. The candidate will work with senior client stakeholders, data engineers, cloud architects, and AI teams to translate business challenges into scalable, production-grade AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML & GenAI

- Lead end-to-end development of ML, predictive analytics, NLP, optimization, and Generative AI solutions.
- Design solutions using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, AI agents, and foundation models.
- Lead experimentation, model evaluation, optimization, and transition of POCs into production.
- Define frameworks to evaluate accuracy, reliability, performance, cost, and responsible AI.

AWS & AI Engineering

- Architect scalable AI/ML solutions using AWS services, including SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Lambda, Glue, and related services.
- Define approaches for data processing, model deployment, MLOps, monitoring, CI/CD, security, and governance.
- Partner with data engineering and cloud teams to build enterprise-grade AI platforms and solutions.

Client Advisory & Solutioning

- Engage senior stakeholders to identify business problems and translate them into AI use cases, solution architectures, and transformation roadmaps.
- Lead client workshops, technical discussions, solution demonstrations,



and executive presentations.
- Lead/contribute to RFPs, proposals, estimates, solutioning, and business development.
- Identify opportunities to scale AI solutions across functions and geographies.

Leadership & Capability Building

- Lead and mentor Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and AI Engineers across engagements.
- Provide technical direction, conduct solution/code reviews, and ensure delivery quality.
- Develop reusable AI accelerators, frameworks, and industry solutions.
- Contribute to AI capability development, hiring, thought leadership, and practice growth.

Preferred

- AWS certification in ML, Data, or Cloud.
- Experience with Agentic AI, LangChain/LangGraph, MLflow, NLP, document intelligence, predictive analytics, or optimization.
- Experience in Public Service / Government / Healthcare / Social Services.
- Track record of contributing to proposals, AI accelerators, thought leadership, and business development.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related areas.
- Solid hands-on Python, SQL, ML/statistical modelling, and experience with large datasets.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions.
- Strong experience with AWS, particularly SageMaker and/or Bedrock.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents.
- Experience with MLOps, deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, and AI governance.
- Strong client-facing, consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams
