# Senior Project Manager ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of large and strategic customer projects. This pivotal role involves managing multi-project portfolios across our Aviation GSE, Defence, and Material Handling product lines. Reporting to the MD & CEO / Senior Manager – PPC within the Planning & Project Control (PPC) Department, you will be instrumental in ensuring complex programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting specifications, while also mentoring a team of Project Managers and Planning Engineers. This is a critical on-site role at our Khalapur manufacturing facility, demanding a solid commitment to operational excellence and direct engagement with shop-floor activities. ## Key Responsibilities * Own end-to-end delivery for a portfolio of strategic customer projects, ensuring successful outcomes. * Define comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and milestone dashboards to guide execution. * Drive on-time, in-full project execution while meticulously protecting cost and margin. * Lead weekly project reviews with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Sales. * Proactively resolve escalations and unblock cross-functional issues to maintain project momentum. * Drive stringent Work-In-Progress (WIP) control, ensure ERP hygiene, and manage project MIS. * Serve as the senior point of contact for customers throughout the entire project lifecycle. * Lead critical customer interactions such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), customer inspections, and design reviews. * Cultivate long-term customer trust and foster repeat business through exceptional delivery. * Mentor and develop Project Managers and Planning Engineers, enhancing team capabilities. * Standardise project templates, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and toolkits for efficiency. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives and capture post-project learnings to refine processes. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Experience:** Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably in heavy engineering, manufacturing, or capital equipment sectors. * **Education:** Post Graduate (PG)



degree in Project Management or Operations Management. * **Primary Skills:** * Programme-level planning and strategic project oversight. * Robust risk management and mitigation strategies. * Exceptional client and stakeholder communication skills. * Strong commercial and technical judgment. * Proven leadership and mentoring abilities. * Process design and improvement capabilities. * Expertise in project execution methodologies. * Proficiency in WIP control and ERP hygiene. * **Desired Qualities:** * Strong commercial acumen. * Strong technical acumen. * Results-oriented and highly disciplined approach to work. * Commitment to on-site work and direct operational engagement. * Process improvement mindset. ## Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have Skills) * Experience in the Defence industry. * Experience in the Aerospace industry. * Specific experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE). * Specific experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE). * Prior experience in heavy engineering capital equipment manufacturing. * Background in Operations Management. ## Work Culture & Expectations * **Department:** Planning & Project Control (PPC) * **Reporting To:** MD & CEO / Senior Manager – PPC * **Work Schedule:** 6 days a week, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM. Sundays and the 3rd Saturday of each month are off. * **Work Mode:** This is a 100% Work From Office role based at our Khalapur manufacturing facility. Work From Home (WFH) or remote work is NOT permitted.
