We are looking for an Unreal Engine Cinematic Artist to create high-quality cinematic sequences and turn them into polished, engaging video content.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for composition, camera movement, lighting, pacing, and storytelling, with hands-on experience working in Unreal Engine Sequencer. You should be comfortable taking existing 3D environments, characters, vehicles, and assets and transforming them into cinematic scenes ready for final video production.
Responsibilities
- Create cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine 5 and Sequencer
- Set up and animate cinematic cameras, including tracking shots, aerial shots, close-ups, and dynamic action sequences
- Compose scenes using existing 3D environments, characters, vehicles, props, and other assets
- Set up and refine lighting, atmosphere, depth, and visual composition
- Animate or coordinate basic object, vehicle, character, and environmental movement where required
- Work with existing animations and assets and adapt them for cinematic sequences
- Record and render high-quality footage directly from Unreal Engine
- Edit cinematic footage into complete videos with strong pacing and storytelling
- Add transitions, sound effects, music, titles, and basic motion graphics where required
- Maintain visual consistency across multiple shots and sequences
- Collaborate with 3D artists, animators, environment artists, and other team members
- Review feedback and quickly iterate on camera work, timing, composition, and editing
- Organize Unreal Engine sequences, cameras, shots, and exported footage efficiently
Requirements
- Robust practical experience with Unreal Engine 5
- Strong knowledge of Sequencer, Cine Camera Actors, camera animation, and cinematic workflows
- Good understanding of composition, cinematography, focal lengths, camera movement, and visual storytelling
- Experience creating cinematic or real-time rendered videos
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
- Understanding of lighting, post-processing, exposure, depth of field, and rendering inside Unreal Engine
- Ability to work with existing 3D assets and build cinematic scenes around them
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain continuity between shots
- Ability to work independently and deliver based on references, storyboards, or creative direction
- Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating Unreal Engine cinematic work
Nice to Have
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or Premiere Pro
- Experience with character animation, Control Rig, or animation retargeting
- Experience working with vehicles, large environments, or action-based sequences
- Knowledge of Niagara VFX
- Experience with virtual production or real-time filmmaking
- Understanding of sound design and cinematic audio
- Experience optimizing scenes for smooth real-time playback and high-quality rendering
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who thinks like a cinematographer and editor, not only a 3D artist. You should understand how to choose the right camera angle, create believable movement, establish scale, build tension, and turn individual Unreal Engine shots into a cohesive finished video.
Please include a portfolio or showreel of Unreal Engine cinematic work when applying.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Are you available from Monday to Friday from 09:00 until 17:00
- Share a link to your portfolio
- If you receive an existing Unreal Engine scene with the environment, characters/vehicles, and animations already prepared, are you comfortable taking it from cinematic camera setup through Sequencer, rendering, and final video editing?
