We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to Ansible Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions, with a particular focus on transitioning existing Chef-managed infrastructure to Ansible. You will leverage your expertise in both platforms to ensure a smooth migration, enhance our automation capabilities, and drive efficiency across our IT operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles, strong scripting abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with development and operations teams.

- Lead the planning, design, and execution of migration strategies from Chef to Ansible for various infrastructure components and applications.
- Develop, test, and maintain robust Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules to automate configuration management, application deployment, and system provisioning.




- Manage and optimize existing Chef cookbooks and recipes during the transition phase, ensuring stability and performance.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to define automation requirements and implement scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Implement and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using Ansible, ensuring version control, reusability, and maintainability of automation scripts.
- Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to enable automated testing, deployment, and release management.
