Your Task

We are seeking a Payroll Expert in SAP HCM to serve as a Lead Consultant. This is a senior level position focused on handling and solving incidents from users and HR Key Users, especially supporting HR Key Users in preparation for and in conducting the monthly payroll runs. The role involves consulting for new requirements around payroll and payroll regulations and implementing these requirements in SAP HCM. Expert level skillset for payroll in SAP HCM is needed to support ongoing activities including new implementations for payroll, monthly payroll runs, and installation of Support Packages and SAP Notes.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle incidents from users and HR Key users
- Provide consulting in the area of payroll for the region of Germany including German laws and regulations
- Perform customizing in the area of payroll, including enhancement of infotypes
- Manage schemes and rules in payroll including analysis consulting, customization and editing, and creation of new schemes and rules
- Handle modifications and adaptations of customizing tables
- Manage wage types including analysis and consulting, adjustment and editing, creation of new wage types, and transfer to schemes and rules
- Work with HR documents using HRFORMS SAPSCRIPT such as payslips and employee certificates, including analysis and consulting, customization and editing, and creation of new HR documents
- Support performing the monthly payroll run by consulting the business, providing technical support for the business in performing the payroll run and recalculations, resolving technical obstacles to performing the payroll run and recalculations, and taking technical responsibility for posting the payroll results
- Communicate with legal authorities such as tax authorities and social securities by providing technical support for processes for reporting and providing information to authorities, analyzing and adapting existing processes for communication with authorities, implementing new processes for communication with authorities, providing technical support for interfaces communication with authorities,

- Conduct statistical surveys in the area of payroll by consulting the business on statistical surveys and implementing technical options such as reports for generating statistics
- Develop reports in SAP HCM including ABAP programming
- Implement SAP notes and legal changes into the payroll, in particular but not exclusively for system patches
- Implement changes in accordance with collective agreements and works agreements

Your Profile

We are seeking a SAP HCM Payroll Lead Consultant with senior-level expertise in SAP HCM payroll, particularly focused on German payroll regulations and laws. The ideal candidate should have deep technical knowledge of payroll schemes, rules, customizing, and interfaces, along with experience in supporting monthly payroll runs and implementing payroll-related requirements.

Must Have Skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll in SAP HCM with implementations under German law and German regulations
- Deep knowledge of payroll-related Schemes and Rules in SAP HCM
- Experience in facilitating monthly payroll runs
- Experience with integrating payroll specific interfaces (e.g., car management, travel expenses, regulatory authorities)
- Basic knowledge of PA (Personnel Administration) and OM (Organizational Management)
- Expertise in Schemes and Rules for payroll in SAP HCM
- Customizing in SAP HCM payroll
- Customizing for wage types
- HRFORMS SAPSCRIPT
- Installation of SAP Notes and Support Packages
- Knowledge for operating interfaces

Nice to Have Skills

- Experience working in an ITIL oriented operation environment
- Knowledge of EC payroll in SuccessFactors
- Knowledge of dependencies of payroll and HR Portal (ESS MSS)




- Knowledge of dependencies of payroll and time management in SAP HCM
- ABAP programming in the area of payroll
- Consulting in the area of payroll for the regions FR, CH, DK, including region specific laws and regulations
- Skills for TIS and OMS Server
- Knowledge of SAP Concur and Amadeus Cytric for travel expenses
