We are looking for a Lead Product Engineer to drive our product from first idea to live release and beyond. You will combine hands-on engineering with product ownership: owning the requirements, leading several engineering teams, and making sure what we build is technically sound and matches what customers and the business need.
This role sits at the centre of product and engineering. You will turn business goals into a clear roadmap and technical plan, shape the architecture, guide teams through design, development, testing and release, and stay hands-on where it matters, through code reviews, prototypes and solving the hardest technical problems. You are accountable for quality, timelines and outcomes.

Key responsibilities
1. Product development from start to finish

- Shape the product vision and roadmap with leadership, based on business goals, customer feedback and market research.
- Lead each product or feature through its full lifecycle: discovery, requirements, design, development, testing, release and post-launch review.
- Define the minimum viable product (MVP) and plan releases in phases.
- Decide what gets built, what waits and what is dropped, using clear prioritisation (value, effort, risk).
- Review released features against goals and plan improvements.

- Act as the single owner of product requirements and the product backlog.

- Gather requirements from customers, sales, support, operations and leadership; resolve conflicts between them.
- Write clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria that teams can build and test against.
- Keep the backlog refined, prioritised and ready at least two sprints ahead.
- Manage scope changes through a controlled change process and explain their impact on time and cost.
- Accept or reject completed work against the agreed acceptance criteria.

Delivery and stakeholder management

- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams: development, QA, UI/UX, DevOps and business analysis.
- Plan sprints and releases across teams; manage dependencies, shared resources and handoffs.
- Run or oversee Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Set explicit goals for each team, track progress, and remove blockers quickly.
- Coach team members, give regular feedback, and support hiring and onboarding.
- Build a culture of ownership, quality and open communication.
- Work with architects and tech leads on solution design, technology choices and technical debt.
- Make sure non-functional needs are planned in: performance, security, scalability and reliability.
- Understand APIs, integrations, databases and cloud basics well enough to judge trade-offs.
- Ensure quality through code review practices, test coverage and CI/CD standards.
- Own delivery timelines, budget and risks; raise issues early with options.
- Report progress, risks and results to leadership and stakeholders in plain language.
- Coordinate go-live with support, training, marketing and operations teams.
- Track product metrics and use data to guide decisions.Qualifications and skills

- Strong hands-on coding skills in at least one modern back-end stack (such as Java, Node.js) and working knowledge of a front-end framework (React or Angular).
- Experience designing scalable systems: microservices, REST or GraphQL APIs, relational and NoSQL databases.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum or Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, ClickUp or Azure DevOps.
- Clear written and spoken communication in English; able to explain technical decisions to non-technical people.

Pay: ₹729,000.00 - ₹1,130,000.00 per year
