About the Role

We are hiring for Senior Analyst and Lead Analyst positions in Structured and Documentary Trade (Letters of Credit) with a leading global banking organisation. These roles involve managing complex LC structures, overseeing transaction servicing, resolving escalations, strengthening operational controls, and driving process improvements. The positions offer opportunities to contribute to trade finance governance, stakeholder management, team performance, and operational excellence within a global banking setting.

Location: Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Mumbai.

Responsibilities

- Manage servicing of complex LC structures, including standby, back-to-back, transferable, and syndicated LCs, as well as sub-limits within credit facilities.
- Interpret LC terms, credit agreement sub-limits, and fee provisions to validate transaction set-up and servicing parameters.
- Resolve escalated discrepancies, payment exceptions, and reconciliation breaks through root cause analysis.
- Review and sign off fee, commission, exposure reconciliations, and general ledger (GL) tie-outs.
- Maintain operational controls and support audit, regulatory, sanctions-related, AML,



and OFAC screening requirements.
- Lead LC servicing activities, work allocation, service-level adherence, quality, and productivity at Lead Analyst level.
- Own KPI and KRI reporting, governance forums, capacity planning, resourcing, and team performance.

Requirements

- Senior Analyst: 4-7 years of experience in documentary trade or LC operations.
- Lead Analyst: 8-11 years of experience in trade finance operations, including at least 3 years of team leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of LC lifecycle processing, UCP 600, ISP98, URDG, and SWIFT trade messaging.
- Hands-on expertise in Loan IQ and LC processing systems.
- Experience handling complex transactions, escalations, reconciliations, and operational risk controls.
- Mentoring experience is required for Senior Analyst; proven people leadership and stakeholder management skills are required for Lead Analyst.
- Willingness to work in ET (Eastern Time) shifts.
