2. Job Summary
The IT Hardware Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing IT hardware and related equipment. The role involves providing technical support to customers or end users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware issues, and maintaining high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.3. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Hardware Installation and Maintenance
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, monitors, and other IT peripherals.
• Assemble, upgrade, and replace hardware components, including RAM, hard drives, SSDs, power supplies, and motherboards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine hardware inspections.
• Diagnose and repair hardware failures and performance-related issues.




• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, firmware, and essential software as required.

B. Troubleshooting and Technical Support
• Identify and resolve hardware, connectivity, and basic software issues.
• Troubleshoot desktop and laptop startup failures, display issues, overheating, power problems, and peripheral malfunctions.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and determine whether components require repair or replacement.
• Support basic LAN, Wi-Fi, printer connectivity, and other peripheral-related issues.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior technicians or the relevant technical team.

C. Service Calls and Customer Support
• Attend customer service requests at the service centre or customer locations, as assigned.
• Provide on-site and remote technical assistance where applicable.
• Explain technical issues and repair solutions clearly to customers.
