Your Job

We are seeking a proficient and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in CAD tools such as Siemens NX and PLM Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate excellent CAD modeling and drafting skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of deep diving into Product Lifecycle Management processes to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle.

Our Team

This team provides global engineering support for the BiPass product line, liquid cooling solutions, and drop-down heatsinks. The position will be part of this engineering team within Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Utilize Siemens NX to create detailed 3D models, sheet metal components, and assemblies, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Design and develop sheet metal parts and products, including enclosures, brackets, panels, and welded assemblies, considering forming, bending, punching, and fabrication processes.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to interpret technical requirements and customer needs, translating them into optimized 3D models, flat patterns, and 2D drawings.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Apply sheet metal design principles such as bend allowances, K-factor, reliefs, tolerances, and GD&T; to ensure proper fit, form, and function.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including bill of materials (BOMs),



engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, using Teamcenter PLM.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Manage CAD data, ensuring proper version control, configuration management, and data integrity within Teamcenter.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Conduct design reviews and provide technical inputs to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and validation of sheet metal assemblies to ensure proper fit and alignment.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Evaluate design feasibility with respect to manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, turret punching, bending, welding, and finishing, and propose design optimizations.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Work closely with manufacturing, fabrication, and production teams to resolve design-related issues and support smooth product realization.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Develop flat patterns, nesting considerations, and material utilization strategies to optimize cost and production efficiency.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 to 7 years Design experience in Product design, Product Testing Systems , Manufacturing process knowledge

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies





xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components and assembly processes

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Proficient in using solid modeling software (Siemens NX) to generate 3D models & 2D drafting

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Knowledge on product design like PDP process, product testing

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Positive Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance

What Will Put You Ahead

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Proficient in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and PLM/PDM systems.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Experience in the connector or electromechanical products industry.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Skilled in developing product designs aligned with customer requirements.
