Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Officer (BDO) with a strong background in SaaS/software sales and the education sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, engaging educational institutions, demonstrating software solutions, and driving customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and approach schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions.
* Generate qualified B2B leads through field visits, networking, cold calling and referrals.
* Conduct client meetings and coordinate software product demonstrations.
* Develop relationships with principals, directors, administrators and institutional decision-makers.
* Understand institutional requirements and recommend suitable software solutions.
* Manage sales pipelines, follow-ups, commercial discussions and client relationships.
* Achieve assigned business development and revenue targets.
* Coordinate with internal teams to support successful client onboarding.
* Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in B2B SaaS or software product sales is mandatory.
* Relevant sales experience in the education sector or EdTech industry is mandatory.
* Experience approaching institutional decision-makers and conducting client meetings.
* Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills.
* Understanding of SaaS products, sales cycles and customer acquis
