Role Description The Senior Editor role is a full time, on-site position based in Jaipur. The Senior Editor will oversee the editorial process for pre-primary and primary learning content, including reviewing manuscripts, refining storylines, ensuring age-appropriate language, and aligning materials with educational standards. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with authors and illustrators, guiding content development from concept to final proofs, and maintaining consistency in tone, style, and format across publications. The Senior Editor will manage editorial schedules,



coordinate with design and production teams to meet deadlines, and perform quality checks on print-ready files. This role also involves mentoring junior editorial staff, contributing to content strategy, and recommending improvements to existing titles and processes.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in editing, proofreading, and content review for educational or children’s publishing.
- Experience in curriculum-based content development, particularly for pre-primary and primary learners.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with authors, illustrators, designers, and production teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in English, Education, Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a senior editorial or lead editing role within publishing or education-focused organizations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with basic desktop publishing or document review tools and comfort working with structured templates.
