About Advizmo
Advizmo is a US-based, SEC-registered investment adviser building a personal finance app that automates investing, tax-loss harvesting, and cash management. We make educational content about investing and personal finance.
Why you'll like this job
- Work directly with the founder, not through layers of managers
- Your videos go out every day to a US audience across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Build a robust portfolio in fintech and educational content
- Help shape the visual style of a growing brand from early on
The Role
We're looking for a video editor to turn scripts, screen recordings, and raw footage into polished videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube (Shorts and long-form), LinkedIn, and our website. You'll work directly with the founder and our social media team and edit 2 to 3 videos per day, mostly short-form.
What you'll do
- Edit 2 to 3 videos per day, mostly short vertical videos (15 to 90 seconds) plus occasional YouTube explainers (5 to 15 minutes)
- Add captions, motion graphics, charts, on-screen text, and b-roll
- Create clean, simple animations that explain financial ideas like ETFs, fund comparisons, and taxes
- Cut short brand videos using b-roll, images, music, and a single line of text
- Add legal disclaimers we provide and make revisions after compliance review
- Export in the right formats and sizes for each platform
- Keep a consistent visual style across all videos
What success looks like
In your first 90 days, you'll set a consistent visual style for our video series, deliver 2 to 3 finished videos every day, and get most videos approved in one round of revisions.
What we're looking for
- 1+ years editing short-form social videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts)
- Fast and confident in CapCut or a similar editor. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects is a plus
- A clean, modern style. You know when to keep it simple
- Able to work at a steady daily pace and deliver first drafts the same day
