To lead the indirect taxation function of the organization by ensuring end-to-end GST compliance, managing assessments, audits, litigations, and departmental investigations, while providing strategic tax guidance to the business. The role will supervise the team and independently handle complex GST matters, interactions with tax authorities, and tax risk management.

Key responsibilities-

GST Compliance & Governance:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, and other statutory filings.
• Oversee monthly GST reconciliations between books of accounts, GST returns, e-invoices, and e-way bills.
• Review GST accounting entries, input tax credit claims, and tax positions adopted by the Company.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with GST regulations.
• Identify and mitigate GST-related risks across business operations.

Litigation, Assessments & Departmental Audits:
• Independently handle GST assessments, audits, investigations, anti-evasion proceedings, and departmental inquiries.




• Lead preparation and submission of responses to Show Cause Notices (SCN), ASMT notices, DRC proceedings, audit observations, and other tax notices.
• Represent the Company before GST authorities, appellate authorities, and tax departments as required.
• Coordinate with legal counsels, consultants, and senior management on litigation strategy and dispute resolution.
• Maintain and monitor ongoing litigation matters, contingent liabilities, and tax exposure reports.

Tax Advisory & Business Support:
• Provide GST advisory support on business transactions, contracts, commercial arrangements, procurement models, and recent business initiatives.
• Evaluate tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, inter-state transactions, exports, imports, and supply chain arrangements.
• Analyze amendments in GST law and proactively advise management on business impact and compliance requirements.
