Job PurposeThe Hostel Community Manager is responsible for creating an engaging social atmosphere, organizing activities and tours, improving guest satisfaction, and generating additional revenue through community experiences and local partnerships.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Guest Engagement & Community Building
• Welcome guests and encourage interaction among solo travellers, backpackers, and groups.
• Create a friendly, inclusive, and lively hostel atmosphere.
• Engage with guests, understand their interests, and promote hostel activities.
• Ensure guests feel welcomed, safe, and connected throughout their stay.

2. Events & Activities
• Plan and conduct daily social activities such as game nights, karaoke, movie nights, food walks, pub crawls, and cultural experiences.
• Organize city tours, temple visits, hikes, and other local experiences.




• Maintain an activity calendar and ensure timely execution of events.
• Encourage guest participation and collect feedback to improve activities.

3. Revenue Generation
• Generate revenue through paid tours, activities, event tickets, and local experiences.
• Promote activities at check-in and through hostel communication channels.
• Build partnerships with local guides, travel agencies, cafes, transport providers, and experience operators.
• Track bookings, collections, expenses, and profitability of activities.

4. Guest Experience & Reviews
• Regularly interact with guests to identify and resolve concerns.
• Encourage genuine guest reviews on Google, Booking.com, Hostelworld, and other platforms.
• Monitor guest feedback and coordinate with the operations team to address recurring issues.
• Ensure activities comply with safety standards and hostel policies.
