Role Description This contract role for a Python QA Automation Engineer is a hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts in Python to validate web and backend applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and executing test cases, performing manual and automated software testing, analyzing test results, and reporting defects with clear documentation. The role involves collaborating closely with developers, product teams, and other QA professionals to refine requirements,



improve test coverage, and ensure high-quality releases. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards.
Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance principles and best practices, including test planning and defect management.
- Proficiency in designing and documenting Test Cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing techniques for web and API-based applications.
- Practical expertise in Software Testing and QA Automation, particularly using Python-based frameworks and tools.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, pytest, Robot Framework) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot test failures, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic familiarity with SQL or other database query languages.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
