With two operational manufacturing plants and further expansion planned through leased facilities and job-work centres, Sagar Business Ventures Limited seeks an experienced professional to manage centralized procurement across its growing manufacturing network.
Key Responsibilities
• Procure steel raw materials, structural sections, plates, rebars and other production inputs.
• Manage purchases of welding consumables, cutting tools, industrial gases, machine spares and factory consumables.
• Develop competitive and dependable supplier relationships.
• Negotiate prices, credit terms, delivery schedules and supply contracts.
• Consolidate procurement requirements across plants for better pricing.
• Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Manage procurement MIS, supplier performance and inventory efficiency.
• Identify and implement measurable procurement cost savings.
Candidate Profile
• Preferably 7–10 years of procurement experience in steel, engineering, heavy fabrication or manufacturing.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial raw materials and consumables.
• Proven vendor-development and negotiation capabilities.
• Experience in centralized purchasing for multiple manufacturing locations preferred.
• ERP and advanced Excel proficiency desirable.
