JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Machine Shop Activities
Assist in daily machine shop operations and production activities.
Support CNC turning, VMC, HMC, and conventional machining operations, as applicable.
Assist in machine setup, tool loading, fixture setting, and component clamping.
Ensure availability of cutting tools, fixtures, and other machining accessories.
Coordinate with operators and supervisors to achieve production targets.
2. CNC Programming and Setting
Assist in preparing, editing, and modifying CNC programs as per component requirements.
Understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences.
Support tool selection, tool offset adjustments, and machining parameter optimization.
Verify CNC programs and assist with trial runs and first-piece inspection.
Work with CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi, as applicable.
Support troubleshooting of basic machining and programming issues.
3. Quality and Inspection




Check machined components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Verify component dimensions against engineering drawings.
Maintain inspection records and report deviations to the Quality Department.
Assist in identifying machining defects and reducing rejection and rework.
4. Maintenance and Safety
Maintain machine shop cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
Support routine machine care and report machine abnormalities.
Ensure proper handling of tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
Follow all machine safety procedures and company quality standards.
