Responsibilities Include

Design and build the Looker LookML data models for the FinOps platform billingmodel dimensions and measures for billingattributed recommendationsmodel budgetsmodel and executivemodel all sourced from BigQuery serving layer tables

Configure Looker User Attributes businessgroupscope businessunitscope and implement accessfilter and alwaysfilter in LookML to enforce RowLevel Security within all embedded dashboards ensuring every user sees only their authorised Business Group and Business Unit data

Build all six FinOps Inform dashboards as Looker Embedded experiences within the Nextjs application shell Cost Visibility multicloud by BGBU Budget Management tracksforecast Commitment Hub SPRICUD coverage Showback Chargeback PL by BU Executive Dashboard ROIYoYtrends Recommendations crosscloud advisor insights

Implement Looker Signed SSO Embed URL generation in the Nextjs application passing user identity and Business Role attributes from OKTA session to Looker at embed time

Optimise LookML models for BigQuery query performance use aggregate tables BI Engine caching strategies and efficient dimensionmeasure design to achieve subsecond dashboard load times

Partner with the Data Engineering Lead to ensure BigQuery serving layer table schemas and RLS policies are correctly reflected in LookML

Work with the DTS Frontend Engineers to integrate Looker Embed SDK within the Nextjs application shell

Basic Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

2 years Looker development and embedding experience

2 years SQL and data modeling

Experience configuring Looker User Attributes and accessfilter or alwaysfilter for multitenant or rolebased data access control

Experience with Looker Signed SSO Embed and the Looker Embed SDK

Strong understanding of BigQuery as a Looker data source PDTs aggregate tables BI Engine optimisation

Experience designing financial or cost management dashboards budget vs actual trend analysis drilldown





Familiarity with Nextjs or React for Looker embed integration

Familiar with REST API concepts for Looker API usage

Strong data literacy able to understand multicloud billing data amortisation concepts and cost attribution logic

Additional Qualifications

Experience with other BI tools Looker Studio Tableau

Familiarity with FinOps concepts cloud commitment discounts showbackchargeback BGBU attribution

Knowledge of Google BigQuery BI Engine and query optimisation

Familiarity with project management tools

Familiarity with Lucidchart for data flow and dashboard wireframing

Skills:

Mandatory Skills : Dimensional Data Modeling, GCP BigQuery, GCP Cloud SQL, Google Looker
