Position Summary

The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates daily manufacturing operations on the shop floor. This role serves as the key link between plant management and the production workforce to maximize efficiency, maintain strict safety standards, and achieve production schedules within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Operations & Scheduling: Plan, organize, and assign daily/weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and target output.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate production staff; handle shift scheduling, attendance, and performance coaching.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce workplace safety rules, conduct safety talks, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards (such as OSHA or local guidelines).
- Quality Control: Monitor production output to ensure products meet required quality specifications and troubleshoot defects immediately.
- Equipment & Maintenance:



Inspect machinery regularly and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and fix technical issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like output volume, scrap rates, and machine utilization; apply Lean or Six Sigma principles to cut waste.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate daily/monthly production logs and report performance metrics to the Production or Plant Manager.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or industrial setting, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing machinery, inventory systems (e.g., ERP/SAP), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Core Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Certifications (Bonus): Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma Green Belt, or APICS CPIM.
