Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Risk & Trading Analyst to support trading strategies through effective risk management, hedging execution, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of traded financial instruments, risk frameworks, and automation of trading and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a strong understanding of traded financial products including equities (stocks), ETFs, and derivatives (futures & options)
- Apply and interpret key risk metrics such as Value at Risk (VaR) and other portfolio risk measures
- Execute and maintain intraday and overnight hedging strategies to manage market exposure effectively
- Ensure optimal hedge ratios while balancing cost, liquidity, and risk considerations
- Prepare, maintain, and ensure compliance with Risk Frameworks and Hedging Frameworks across trading strategies
- Continuously monitor P&L; across multiple strategies, identifying risks and opportunities for optimization
- Adjust position sizing and exposure levels based on market conditions and risk parameters




- Collaborate with trading and strategy teams to enhance performance while adhering to risk limits
- Build and maintain automated tools and dashboards for trading, hedging, and risk monitoring (Excel, VBA, or proprietary systems)
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process optimization

Required Qualifications & Skills

- A recognized professional degree in finance (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, CA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments: stocks, ETFs, futures, and options
- Knowledge of risk management concepts including VaR, exposure, volatility, and drawdown control
- Hands-on experience with hedging strategies and execution in live trading environments
- Ability to interpret and manage portfolio-level risk and P&L; dynamics
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced); experience with VBA, Python, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work in quick-paced trading environments
