- Preparation of tooling layouts, concepts for mold, MDP Process is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on Tool cost estimation
- Prepare detailed designs/reviews, using 3D CAD software (CREO and / OR NX8)
- Conversant with drafting standards, preparation of detailed design drawing with tolerances
- Conversant with GPS / GD&T; systems.
- Knowledge of MoldFlow/Moldex 3D.
- Conversant on tool material, material specifications, Heat treatment & its process.
- Conversant on Tool building, Tool assembly, measurement, testing and tool room processes.
- Knowledge of Molding/Stamping materials & its specification
- System know-how & ISO/TS requirements, Process guidelines (IATF 16949, and needed ISO)
- Interaction with CFT/suppliers for reviews, trials, evaluation of component / tooling elements
- Know-how Scientific Injection molding techniques will be an advantage.
- Validate concept designs using simulation results and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements.
- Involve in Kaizen vents to save costs & time. adopt standardized process and work methodology.
- Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
- PG/MTech/Post Diploma in Tool Design from NTTF or GTTC/ BE Mechanical with Tooling Background.
- Knowledge on product, design processes and methodology.
- Understanding of LEAN / 6 Sigma / Kaizen techniques will be an advantage.
