Role Description The Volunteer at Home Tuition is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Delhi Area. Each day, the volunteer provides tutoring support to students in core subjects, helping them understand concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams.

Responsibilities include planning simple lesson activities, offering individualized guidance, tracking student progress, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive learning workplace. The role may also involve communicating with parents or guardians, coordinating schedules, and working with other volunteers or coordinators to improve educational support.



This position is ideal for individuals who wish to contribute to community development through education and direct student engagement.

Qualifications

- Strong subject knowledge in school-level academics (such as mathematics, science, languages, and social studies) and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen actively and build rapport with learners and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude toward learners from diverse backgrounds and varying academic levels.
- Organizational and time-management skills to plan sessions, manage schedules, and monitor student progress.
- Commitment to regular attendance in a full-time capacity in the Greater Delhi Area and reliability in meeting agreed tutoring hours.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or community service is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Basic familiarity with local school curricula and examination patterns in the Greater Delhi Area is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification of higher secondary completion; graduation in any discipline is preferred.
