Role Description The Veterinary Surgeon role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City.

The Veterinary

Surgeon will perform routine and complex surgical procedures on companion animals, supported by thorough pre-operative assessment and post-operative care. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing conditions, prescribing appropriate medical treatments, coordinating laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate medical records.



The role involves collaborating with veterinary staff to deliver high-quality pet care, educating pet guardians on treatment plans and preventive care, and adhering to clinical protocols and ethical standards. Participation in case discussions, continuous professional development, and contribution to a positive, safe clinical environment are also expected.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Veterinary Surgery and Veterinary Medicine for performing procedures and managing clinical cases.
- Candidates should possess skills in Medicine and Laboratory Skills for diagnosis, testing, and treatment planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Pet Care for providing compassionate, comprehensive care and client education.
- Recognized veterinary degree (BVSc or equivalent) and valid registration with relevant veterinary council.
- Proven clinical experience in small animal practice, including surgical and medical case management.
- Robust communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to animal welfare and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for emergencies and high case load; prior experience in a hospital or multi-vet setting is an advantage.
